I've been on generic minoxidil 5% and spironolactone 5% nightly. Well I've been growing my hair out and now need to get spironolactone 2%. Ok so, spironolactone 2% for the thinning areas and spironolactone 5% for the hairline and temples...

Now I need to decide on the minoxidil. I'm down to about half a bottle of my minoxidil and was wondering if I should give Dr. Lee's minoxidil products a shot? Are they really that much better than the generic and worth the price difference? Also, which minoxidil in specific would you reccomend?

Thanks!!! :)

I dont know about the effectiveness but from application and convenience point of view, Dr. L's minoxidil is very very convenient

unless you up the percentage then they should be the same in terms of effectiveness if you just switch to his regular 5% version. However, like posted above, his dries in a few minutes compared to the greasy regular version.

Well that's kinda what I am asking. Should I be going with the regular 5% or stepping up to Xanadrox 15% or one of his other minoxidil solutions? I can't decide which minoxidil is best...

15% is the best, but much more expensive and it might be overkill. I would go with 5% for now and in 6-8 months decided if you need to step up.

I was checking Dr. Lee's prices for minoxidil and wasn't expecting them to be priced that high. I think I'll stick with Generic minoxidil for a bit longer. At least the 2% spironolactone is reasonably priced...

The #500 Standard minoxidil is reasonably priced. Why would you want to jump to the 15% so soon? I personally am keeping that in my proverbial 'bag of tricks'.

What'd I'd do if I were you is get his #500 minoxidil and use it in the mornings so you are getting 2 applications per day.
