Hi Guys,
I figured I'd post an update on my regime right now. No current pictures because it is really early in the game here but I'm just looking for feedback/opinions/insight.
I started .25 finasteride 3 weeks ago. Good thing, no sides, I feel no different at all. I know they could creep up eventually but in the moment I've got nothing. Bad news, I've felt no different as far as my "itch" goes (I have the whole itch and shedding thing terribly). I've also seen really no decrease in shedding / hair fall. I'm hoping that this is just because it is early in the game but I'm concerned I either need to up the dose or am a nonresponder. I take Nutrafol supplement for about the past year. I've seen no benefits with this but theoretically I guess I figure it can't hurt.
I do not use minoxidal - primarily because I'm concerned about dependent hair... Additionally, most of the derm I've seen diagnosis Teleogen effluvium but I just can't get behind that. It doesn't seem practical that the shedding has gone on for this long due to Telogen Effluvium... I just don't see that being the case.
However, I'm going to start Zix next week with microderm one time weekly.
On top of that I use a regrowth laser light Iregrowth. I know that can cause some shedding up front.
So my regime will be
Nutrafol supplement,
.25 finasteride
regrowth laser light
Zix 6 times weekly
Microderm 1.5 once per week.
Hoping to at least stop the shedding and hairloss and keep what I have.
