Update after quitting finasteride/ help needed please

Im 20 years old, and i'm a diffuse thinner.
My hairline has not receeded at all, but my hair overall has lost a lot of density.
I got on finasteride for 5 months. I never had a shed, and my hair was actually doing VERY well on finasteride. My hair stopped shedding, it looked alot thicker, etc. Around my second month I started noticing a decrease in my sex drive. I tried to ride it out for a while, but things only got worse. At 20 years old I got to a point where I could not get an erection even with p**rn.
Ofcourse I figured thats just not righ and I freaked. I dropped finasteride over a course of several weeks. It took me about a month, but thankfully i'm fully recovered and my libido has gone back to normal..

What are my options now. Where do I go from here?

Did you ever try reducing your finasteride doseage?

Maybe instead of 1 mg, try .5 or .25. you might not see the sexual side effects at a lower dose, but since your hair seemed to be responding well you might keep that benefit.

Good advice from grayman. I would give it another shot with a lower dose, or take it every other day. Also please don't freak yourself out, try to forget your taking it. Give it a couple weeks before you quit. If you still get the sides then you can do nizoral and minoxidil, maybe topical spironolactone.

While you're using nizoral and minoxidil I'd suggest going to a few stores and finding a nice, smart looking hat.

Try once more, and add 50 - 100 mg zink every day if you notice reduced libido.

So if you get the desired Hair you want, from taking finasteride, would it be safe to take a lower dossage afterwards? like from 1 to .5 , and still have your desired hair? So you won't get the bad side effects of finasteride.?

Noone knows. You'll have to try and see for yourself.
