This is ridiculous. They rag on treatments, and then tell you to keep your follicles clean and free of oil and DHT? Oh yea, and massaging the scalp to stimulate the follicles, let's not forget that important tidbit. These people clearly don't know what they're talking about...

Well, I'm off to give myself a scalp massage, and then I figured I'd wash the DHT out of my follicles with some Herbal Essences.

"Bayers, however, said that premature balding can be a blessing in disguise. “I think the guys who are hit with premature balding have it a little easier,â€￾ he said. “They can get a buzz cut or wear it short, and it can be a fashion statement."

YEAH, BECAUSE AS A f*****g BARBER HE MAKES MORE MONEY. What a shithead!!!

And this is my favorite:

"Mutluguler suggested that the best course of action, aside from hair transplant surgery, is to keep the hair cropped short and massage the scalp to stimulate the follicle."

The guy should be dragged out back and shot just for being so f*****g ignorant.

i always dig that hair dressers are looked at as "experts" in hairloss. that's like saying a dude that works at a car wash is an expert mechanic.

How is that a blessing? You're still going to be bald when you're older--and you don't need to be balding to shave your head. It's not like guys who go bald young get to STOP being bald once they hit middle age, there's no bloody trade-off here. That's one of the stupidest articles I've ever read.

That is the biggest piece of bullshit I have ever read. It provides no evidence to support it's claims. Just makes them and assumes it's the truth. What is premature balding? Since when has there been a proper time to go bald?

According to a survey of 100 students 6 percent were bald? So what? What does that prove? It proves nothing that's what.

While this number may seem somewhat small on its face, cases of premature balding, also known as androgenetic alopecia, seem to be much more prevalent at the University than elsewhere, according to Mike Bayers, who cuts hair at the University Barbershop at 57th Street and Harper Avenue

Ohhh according to him? The expert of experts. Does he even exist? Who knows...

I think stress plays a part of it; it affects you internally,â€￾ said Franco

Would that then not make every investment banker, stock analyst and soldier on the front line of every major war in history bald as a babys behind?

What about being an under cover police officer working undercover in the drug world? "He's balding HE MUST BE A COP!!!!"

balding epidemic..... GIVE ME A BREAK

I agree with goona_win. This article offers no verification nor evidential support. These are just a few of the things that this article lacks aside from credibility:(
