Unbelievable Results With Just Inconsistent Minoxidil

So I will get to the title of this in a moment. I'll explain my story quick. Male here.

I always had super thick wavy hair.. I also had a pretty high forehead.

My hair started thinning / receding when I was late 22 / almost 23. At first it wasn't too bad and I could get a decent fade / shape up and it looked good. I could even grow it out and gel it back or something.

As of recent (recently 26), it was getting to the point where I could no longer really even hide it with a haircut or a shape up. My barbers told me to basically shave it off and rock my beard with it since i have a good head shape for it (similar to Joe Rogan). (I also wear a beard 1 - 2 in length, pretty short). So I buzzed my head no guard, and used a head razor to get just about all the stubble off. (I was at around a 3V or IV on the Norwood chart)

I knew about Minoxidil and the treatments, but I never went that route because I actually enjoyed having a shaved head and it looks good. But I made the decision to get 5% liquid minoxidil to keep my beard thick and perfect forever. So I started to spray the stuff only on my beard.

Long story short, after only 1.5 months of using this minoxidil INCONSISTENTLY (often missing applications, some days only using once) in a spray bottle, AT LEAST 50% of my hair on my head has returned, MINIMUM. This is also after only using it on my face, never on my head. I also know my hair very well, and I am convinced the thickness is now near the same on the top as it is on the sides. I'm shocked and I can't explain this. (Now closer to a 2 on Norwood)

I am so convinced and the results are so dramatic, so quick, that I am now using a few sprayson my head for the heck of it but i'm still keeping my head shaved. I'm going to give it a year before trying to grow it out again, because I still don't mind having a shaved head.

The results are so impressive i'm also almost convinced if i combine with Finasteride I can get literally all of my hair back in time. But i'm terrified about the side effects.

My questions are:

1. How is this possible? The inconsistencies and not applying directly to my head almost makes this seem impossible so quick.

2. Are the Finasteride side effects something to worry about?

I swear, God strike me dead, I'm being truthful. I have ZERO reason to lie about this.

I have pictures. They are with two different cameras, however, one with less quality (the before was on a flip phone as a temporary phone before I got my smartphone back)

While this does sound fake, Minoxidil is absorbed by the skin and depending on his body could quite possibly be going systematic, which in turn might affect his scalp as-well. Obviously this is only a theory, but it's still possible.

I'm honestly shocked I'm being met with this much doubt. Believe me, I have better things to do than come on a hair loss forum and make up stories .

I will find out how to pull pictures from a flip phone and I will show the before and after pics after the holiday, since I'm leaving soon and won't be home until late. In the meantime, this is the minoxidil I'm using, 4 months to go and the current second month in the spray bottle I've been using.

Edit: I also snapped and included the said head razor I bought when I was convinced my hair was too far gone.

Just post pictures of the before and after. People are doubting you because it does not make sense--Minoxidil should be applied to the scalp directly--you said you applied it to your face and 50% of your scalp hair grew back. As someone mentioned, the only explanation could be systemic absorption via the facial skin even though these would be pretty low doses.

Again, I'm leaving now. I have to find out how to upload pictures from a flip phone, which was the phone I temporarily had when I snapped the before pics.

I'm 100% aware it doesn't make sense, hence why I made this topic. I asked my friend who is a doctor and he agrees it doesn't make sense unless the minoxidil got in my blood stream somehow. (Which actually is possible now that I think about it. I was also spraying it over my chin and mustache, and I tasted small amounts of it. So I guess it's possible I orally ingested small amounts of the medicine. )

Rest assured, I will have these pictures up very soon.

Why are you all so dumbfounded by what I've stated? Flip phones have proven to be virtually impractical in a modern day setting. The only thing working for it is frankly, drug -dealer phones or people who aren't technical savvy. Hardly anyone that has one actually have a 4G option, and the small form factor denies the manufacture the ability to implement decent speakers/cameras. Hell I'd rather call a webcam a cell phone before I use one of those. Hope you enjoy your 3megapixel flip phone laddy.

I use a flip phone too. Not because I'm outdated but rather I'm drunk most of the time and prone to losing the phone. Not many people will steal a piece of sh*t like that, so it always comes back like a boomerang :D

Its possible since the minoxidil is absorbeb in the bloodstrem from your face. Obviously its better if you apply it directly on your scalp. So start apply it on your scalp and get on finasteride just 1 mg x day..

You may remember that your skin it the body's largest organ.
ANYTHING you put on the skin is absorbed and circulates through the body. Thus "The Patch" for tobacco addiction. Thus Chemotherapy patches... The Rogain you apply to the beard absorbs into the face skin and eventually reaches the head, and eyebrows, and arm hair.....
