New here but lurked a while and finally decided it's time to stop kidding myself - I am definitely losing hair!

I'm only 29 and already can see definite thinning on top plus receding hairline at the front. Not good.

I'm always pretty full on with fixing issues though so, if money was not really an issue, what would be the best possible treatment protocol for stopping and reversing hair loss?

By the big 3 I assume people mean:

Minoxidil - does anyone out there do 10+% like the site minoxidil.com used to?

Finasteride
Dutasteride?

The issue isn't necessarily money, it's how far you're willing to go to get your hair back and how afraid you are of side effects.

The last resort https://www.hairlosstalk.com/interact/threads/my-fight-my-war-with-androgenetic-alopecia.97338/ is probably Antydhtor's treatment, his results speak for themselves, but his treatment is the equivalent to using an atomic bomb to break an egg, so i don't recommend going that far, but Finasteride/Dutasteride + Minoxidil + Dermarolling and maybe Nizoral are relatively safe options that yield good results to pretty much everyone from what i've seen. You could add RU as well if you manage to find it and minoxidil sulfate if you're a non responder to minoxidil (some people don't respond to it depending on the presence of a certain enzyme on your scalp, don't know the specifics on this sorry). Besides that there's spirolactone but i don't think you'll need it.

Thanks for your message. I definitely don't want to be taking any obviously estrogenic products though.

Is there anywhere out there offering RU-58841 or topical spironolactone?

Finasteride is the go to for halting/slowing further loss. Will likely also get some regrowth and thickening from it depending on how advanced the miniaturization is

Use minoxidil as well if you're looking to regrow some/accelerate regrowth. Also a good way to hedge your bets as it's one of the few proven treatments we have

Nizoral shampoo is generally recommended to help with inflammation. It has some questionable studies on its benefits for male pattern baldness

In the future you can consider dutasteride if finasteride is failing you, and hair transplants if you're not happy with what medication restores you to
