Hi guys - I registered here in 2007, posted again in 2012 and now I'm back in 2021. It's a pleasure to be back amongst friends! (my original story thread: https://www.hairlosstalk.com/interact/threads/advice-please-pictures-included-5-year-update.29121/)

I am strongly considering a transplant to fill in my receded temples. I started losing hair aggressively at 17, and have been on Finasteride since 18, which mercifully has more or less stopped the loss in its tracks since then. I am now 32. have very strong thick hair everywhere else, but fairly receded temples, I think I am NW2. Pics below (lines are what the doctors drew on during consultations):

I was wondering if there is a common consensus and/or highly recommended UK based doctors for this type of transplant work? Hairline restoration on someone with thick, strong hair.

I have had consultations at the Harley Street Hair Clinic and The Private Clinic in London. Both seem OK, but it made me realise there is a lot of nuance and subjectivity in hairline design, and variability in the approaches and results of different doctors/clinics (as you can see from the pics above, totally different design lines). So I am looking for the very best to work on my specific case. I am based in London but happy to travel if needed.

Any tips, advice, recommendations are very welcome! Thank you!

Dr. Ball or Dr. Reddy, maybe? But there's no clinic in the UK that can touch the skills available in Belgium, Spain or Portugal. It's worth going outside the UK.

Hey thanks for the feedback! I will go outside the UK for the best service. Do you have any top names in Europe you'd recommend?

Dr Serkan Aigyn was awarded the most successful Doctor's award for hair transplantation in Europe. The success of hair transplantation in Turkey is known to many people. Turkey is the first country to have a hair transplant. This is explained by a large number of clinics in the country. So you should go there and see several specialists, including Dr Serkan. Fortunately, there is no need to go abroad for paediatricians; you need to write to https://www.cameronmch.com/services/pediatrics/. The most important thing is a trusting relationship between you and the doctor; otherwise, you will not be satisfied with the result.

I had my hair transplant at DrT Clinics in 2021, the team and Dr. Tayfun were amazing. I am also extremelry happy with my new hair. It looks so natural that nobody even thinks I had a transplant.

Serkan doesn’t do any work himself.. his techs might be good I don’t know.
