I switched from minoxidil 5% to tugain 10% 6 months ago. Tugain 10 uses only alcohol as a vehicle for minoxidil. I started thinning behind the hairline while on it. Though it was a shed but it just kept getting thinner. I'm back on rogaine 5% as of today. It's either a coincidence that I thinned at exactly the same time I started tugain or I just had a bad reaction to the high alcohol content. Or maybe I had a bad reaction to high min dose, not sure, but I've maintained the same amount for 6 years and only started thinning when I started tugain. I would not recommend it.
