Hi Guys
Well months after getting propecia and minoxidal on prescription from a private doctor I finally took my first pill last friday, I was reluctant to take it before until I had seen at least a couple of specialists for obvious reasons. Mow I was fully aware of the sides mainly from this forum but I figured the percentages were against me. Well after taking it I put all those thoughts out of my head but after a while I started to feel funny, not really bad but just different, I then got a headache (which could have been the minoxidal) but all through the evening I just felt slightly odd and almost a bit dreamlike. Now I know most on here will say I'm nuts as it's impossible to get it after one pill so I was wondering if anyone else had this on their first pill. I have also read about your body having to adjust to propecia so this might have been it. The next day I had a mild ache in my testicles which went on and off and I had a bad zit on my face (I never get them, I'm 37), possibly coincidence excepted. but worse than that when I woke up I had a cold feeling down below like I had no connection. Now again this could all be in my mind I know and I'm sure that's what most will say on here but I would appreciate any thoughts advice but not in an angry "you're so stupid" way as I feel we are all in the same boat here. Anyway the whole thing got me thinking and I decided to not take another pill for the time being, not just because I might have been in the small percent who have a bad reaction to it (I feel fine now by the way) but also it got me thinking how possibly wrong it really is to put some foreign object in my body every day which rightly or wronly or safe or not is messing with my hormones. Nad I just don't know if I can go through that every day. I'm seeing a top doctor this week in Harley St( I live in the UK) who I have seen before who last time I went to see him said my only real options were Propecia or hair transplant. He said there were some really great hair transplant doctors now but I would have to travel and it would be expensive if I wanted to go to the best, at first I thought I would go with the Propecia but now I'm going back to talk to hime about hair transplant. My hair is thinning at the front and I have a receeding temple, I'm not bothered about the temple I just want to thicken up the from again. I have full thick coverage from the middle in front of the crown all the way back so I might be a godd candidate for it. I've seen a lot of success stories recently from guys who have been to GOOD doctors and I just figure once I do it it's done and I will not have to worry about putting this damn pill in my body every day and I have to say the reaction I had so quickly did worry me as I was really not expecting it. Just would appreciate some feedback really. Have any of you guys thought about the hair transplant instead and if not why? Thanks for reading everyone. Peace to you all.
