Been on Propecia for about 16 months with no noticeable effects. Been on Xandrox 5% for about 5 months, with no noticeable effects, except maybe some darker fuzz on my temples. The front is retreating, I have a hole opening up in the back and on top, and it's thinning all around. What's left, prayer?

Oh yeah, been using Nizoral for a few months too. Dutasteride, well, I'm wary of using potent drugs for off-label purposes. Does anyone know is there's any correlation between finasteride non-responders and dutasteride non-responders?

Its too hard to tell. 16 month gives finasteride enough time to show if it was going to work for you. I was in same postion, now switched to dutasteride. Its been around 9-10 month. Things arent getting much better, but im going to give it another 6 month.

I would maybe give spironolactone ago...

Also just started on xandrox last week and I think I'll be using on the hole scalp so it will probably last only three.

propecia should have at least halted your loss after 16 months. There was some research published a while back which said that propecia non responders may respond better to dutasteride (and vice versa) due to different genetic reactions to the drugs.

Personally Propecia worked fine for me for a couple of years, but then stopped working so I switched to dutasteride and had very good results from it. I'd recommend you switch to dutasteride.
