Tricomin Shampoo?

I have a very itchy scalp with a little bit of dandruff (seb derm) for which I am now using prescription Loprox shampoo twice a week, which my doctor said will get rid of the underlying fungus.

I just ordered some Tricomin shampoo to use on the off days in hopes that it will help to heal some of my scalp inflammation. Has anyone with seb derm used this and responded well?

Also, for anyone with seb derm, what products have you used besides dandruff shampoos to help with the redness and inflammation? For some reason, most dandruff shampoos tend to make my hair loss worse, including Nizoral, T-gel, and zinc shampoos. However, I have responded well to loprox.

Anyway, thanks for any input.

I think you may have misunderstood me. Right now the only medicated shampoo I am using is Loprox, which has been the best for my seb derm. I have used many in the past however, most of which have seeemed to exacerbate the hair loss.

I understood what you said...I just should have phrased it..."you have used far too many medicated shampoo's"

Believe me I know, I've even used more than the ones I listed, but they all seem to lose effectiveness over time so I have to end up switching. I don't want to have to use them at all, but I don't really have a choice if I don't want to have massive redness and itching.

Tricomin never helped me with nuthin. I used it for 2 years and was always getting red and ithcy scalp. It finally stopped when I started using Nizoral every other day
