I'm looking to start a regimen. I'm a 24 y.o. male with diffuse hair loss.

As kindly outlined on the main page of hairlosstalk.com, I'm looking into following products:

Nizoral Shampoo
Tricomin
Revivogen
Toppik (for social occasions)

the thing is, Tricomin and Revivogen are rather "expensive." Which should I get? Which can I not do without? Are they worth the dough?

Propecia because i'm afraid of any side effects. I'm not saying the ones i listed won't have any side effects (I haven't a clue actually) but at least they're topical and won't feel as bad as taking a pill.

As for minoxidil, I don't know. Tell me more about it plz.

Well, it's my 5th day on minoxidil  so i can't drive conclussions yet, but maybe someone here who has been longer on it can help you out with it

I use Rogaine 5% and apply it twice a day  (no prescription) :hairy:

I can recommend you to use Nizoral, since it's very good for dandruff, and minoxidil might create dandruff, so it's good to use it.

You can also ask in the minoxidil forum

Good luck.

If you can't use BOTH, why not use one product on one day, and the other on the next? That will average-out the cost of both. I believe in never putting all my eggs in one basket!
