it's a long story but my GP refuses to prescribe finesteride without a proper diagnoses of male pattern baldness, (well to be fair my 2 older brothers have full heads of hair even though my dad is NW7 )
now with my doctors referral i will have to wait 2 months for an appointment to see a dermatologist at a hair and scalp dermatology department
now part of me is unwilling to wait 2 months watching my hair recede so i have the choice of seeing a private dermatologist or a tricoligist, my question is, who would be better informed?
or am i just making a big deal over small differences..

Trichologist.

Although on that note, when I went to one they completely misdiagnosed me ¬_¬.

But still, hair and scalp specialists, some derms seem to know nothing..

Trichologists aren't actually doctors, your GP may not accept a diagnosis from one. You should check this out with your GP before spending any money.
