Hi

I'm 26 years old and i have start shedding about 5 years ago, i want to start finasteride-less, moderate and chip treatment that doesn't require too much dealing with, my goal is just to delay the inevitable in 5-7 years (and a bit of regrew maybe) and than to shave my head or to do an hair transplant

I consider start with kirkland foam and nizoral 2% shampoo once or twice a week

1. Do you think it's a fair treatment under my wills? do you have diferrent suggestions?
2. Do you think regrow is possible with such treatment? (i have many thin bright hairs in the receding hairline)
3. Does kirkland foam and nizoral 2% shampoo contains dht reducing supplements? (i have to wash my head after applying?)

Thanks

Topical spironolactone is only a weak anti androgen. I would be surprised if that alone could do much.

In my opinion, unless you are one of the very lucky few who respond well to minoxidil you will not achieve significant results without finasteride or dutasteride.

Im sorry but If your not willing to try a proven anti androgen then minoxidil is your only slim hope.

minoxidil isnt a stand alone treatment it may regrow hair but that hair is still going to be affected by DHT and eventually miniaturize so the results will be minimal and temporary which makes using minoxidil pointless and a waste of money without an anti androgen. If your lucky enough to regrow hair with minoxidil then adding finasteride would stabilize and improve your hair for good 5-10 years.

Do you really think you are not going to care in 5-7 years? If you care now, you will most likely care then. Even if you decide on a transplant later on, the more hair you preserve now the better your result will be if/when you decide to get a transplant.
