Treatment for hereditary hair loss?

The way you posed this question suggests you are very new to this game. Well, your options are propecia or revivogen to try and halt hairloss. If you want to regrow then you will likely need minoxidil 5%. However, you may achieve regrowth on propecia alone (which comes in pills so you don't need to mess with the hair) but it is likely to be miimal because it in itself is not a growth stimulant. Be warned, propecia may induce side effects but are very rare. Although, on this forum the rate of people suffering from these side effects seems a lot higher than the 2% suggested by the makers, Merck.

Yes, I know about those drugs. But lets put this question another way... The hereditary baldness is not caused by hormonal imbalance, right? Then, will such drugs as propecia and eucapil, which are supposed to help with androgenic alopecia, help people whose baldness is due to heredity?
you will find that hereditory hairloss is one way or another same as androgenic alopecia. All I can say is that a combination of minoxidil and revivogen has virtually given my old hairline back and my hair is so much thicker. I am hoping this stays and I don't go through any future sheds.
I have been using 5% (Kirkland brand. Its a generic version and is real cheap) for almost 2 years now. Although minoxidil regrow a lot of hair and made the hair thicker, it did not give me the final 20% that I was looking for. By adding revivogen the fuzz at the hairline have become terminal and the hair has thickened even more. I have also been taking msm tablets for about 7/8 months, The msm a helps the thickening with and grows hair faster. Regarding shampoo, I have been using nizarol but tend to use it once a week now because it makes my hair look fried up after using it (so I have reduced it to once a week). By the way, it does make a real difference usingminoxidil twice a day as opposed to once.

hey mon. my regimen is exactly the same as u. i use 5% minoxidil(dr lees) once/twice a day and i use revivogen once a day and nizoral shampoo every third day and msm. great to hear ur getting results. i was just wondering how often do u apply the minoxidil and revivogen. is it once a day each?

I use it both once a day and twice a day. I can't always make time to apply it twice. I prefer not to use minoxidl in the morning before I go out. Minoxidil always leaves the hair looking a bit dull for a couple of hours until it dries. The revivogen is not bad in that regard. What I often do is I would make 1st application of minoxidil around 6PM and then revivogen at about 8PM and finally minoxidil again at 11PM. Sometimes I can't be bothered about the first application of minoxidil. I would love for the minoxidil to have been orally taken so it did not spoil the hair for a couple of hours.
