Topical Spironolactone - Yes Or No?

Hi all,

I am new! I am currently on topical steroids for hair loss and scalp issues. I have been using Minoxidil for the last 5 yrs with good success up until now.

I feel, once I finish the steriod I will need to add some type of anti-androgen. I live is a country that is not very forward thinking and my doctor will not prescribe oral Spironolactone.

Has anyone here bought and used topical Spironolactone themselves? Was it successful? Where did you purchase it?

Or would anyone suggest another effective anti-androgen? I will continue with Minoxidil also.

I was prescribed oral spironolactone but haven’t started yet. Did you consider looking for a dr that will prescribe it? I’m curious to know if the topical helped and wondering if it may be better. It won’t affect other parts of your body.
