Topical spironolactone = Regrowth?

Hi,

I have a question...

Its about 2 months that I am using topical spironolactone on the hairline (Recommended by Goingat20 :) ) and I started seing many smaller hairs growing 1/4 inch under the hair line... my hair line was always high and I always had a big forhead...

Can new hair just start growing by itself if it never was there before? or was it so small that I never seen it before and finally maturing after my whole life???

Strange...

I am only using topical spironolactone (once a day)...and on top of that I am drinking 5000mcg of biotin + 25mg of zinc

I just ordered 1000mg of MSM and I hear many ways of people taking it..should I be taking 3 pills a day a total of 3000mg/daily?

and the last question...does msm help with stopping the shed?

Thanks a lot!
LW

Hi Lostwind

New here, but I've been taking MSM 2000mg, Zinc 30mg daily+ Biotin daily and I've noticed a little thickening of my existing hair and some small regrowth on my hairline. I've also been using Nizoral 2%. I don't know what has been causing this (very modest) growth but it's very encouraging, though I've seen no new hair on the crown at all. It's very difficult to judge results, especially when you're counting hairs still extant rather than hairs falling. Maybe you're like me - I can see the hair pores (or whatever they're called) on my head but there's no hair growing out of them.

So you are taking 1 pill of 1000mg / twice a day?

Yeah, sorry, should have specified. One 1000mg tablet morning and one evening. You might find this disgusting but I've also taken to eating seaweed. Over here it's gathered from the Donegal seaboard and sold as 'dulse'. But it's very high in B vitamins and iodine (allegedly).
