topical spironolactone for temples?

I was maintaining something between a norwood 1.5 and 2 with fincar (1.25mg) 5% rogaine foam, 2% nizoral and 5% spironolactone (for the hairline).
I got lazy with the spironolactone and stopped applying it (thinking I was good with the 'big 3'). Then my left temple started thinning and receding. That was about 6 months ago. Now I'm a norwood 2 (that left temple was resisting for a while).

Does finasteride really not work for the temples? I'm thinking of going back to the spironolactone but my question is maybe my system was just used to it and the hairloss progressed again without it, but I might not need it now that I haven't been using it for a while.

Any idea whether spironolactone is redundant when used with finasteride?

I think you should used only spironolactone for one month. Observe your hair growth. If satisfactory use spironolactone with finasteride. It will be the safe way.spironolactone is obviously a redundant while using with finasteride but it works certain condition.
