Topical spironolactone - does it disperse?

This came up briefly in an older thread, but I thought I'd revive the discussion and hopefully draw some more opinions into this. Does topical spironolactone have some degree of dispersion when applied to the scalp? That is, does it spread to other neighboring areas where the cream/lotion is not directly in contact and exert its antiandrogenic effects there?

Obviously, if this were the case I would not expect the area to be very large, but I am curious if this occurs at all or if one should only expect action on areas where the spironolactone has been applied and not an ounce of effect anywhere else.
