Topical spironolactone and finasteride's effect

There have been people who tried using minoxidil to get regrowth, and then tamper off and try to keep their gains with finasteride alone. Which of course, does not work as minoxidil hair grows from a different action then finasteride.

However, what about spironolactone? Could a person use spironolactone to hasten growth, but keep those gains if they stop using spironolactone? Just curious because spironolactone's method of action seems much more relative to Finasterides then minoxidil.

If you stopped spironolactone, and started finasteride instead, I expect you'd be OK. Overall the impact either way will be negligible, since IMO spironolactone doesn't really do a whole lot.
