Topical Oestrogen? (Ovestin.)

I'm on minoxidil and spironolactone in an attempt to save / nurture my hairline. I know that spironolactone not only innactivates (apparently) the DHT binding sites but it may also convert DHT into oestrogen (highly hair promoting). Anyway, there is a topical oestrogen cream called Ovestin. Its designed as a HRT cream for women in menopause. Apparently it is mainly locally metabolised and less than 2% is systemically absorbed. Anyone tries this yet? I'm thinking about giving it a go. It can be ordered from inhouse pharmacy etc.

I figure that in the small amounts one would use on the hairline a few times a week, almost nothing would be systemically absorbed and it could have a very powerful effect on preserving a hairline.

spironolactone is also locally metabolized. Stick with that. I wouldn't mess around with that stuff.
