I recently read a paper on the effectiveness of topical JAK Inhibitors. I contacted one of the authors of the paper, who said that they are worth trying if I’m sure I have alopecia areata.
According to a dermatologist I saw, her differential includes Diffuse alopecia areata and androgenetic alopecia.
If I wanted to try topical JAK inhibitors, where would I get them? What are the potential downsides? Would anyone recommend them or caution against them?
Any constructive advice is welcome!
