topical finasteride

This was just made readily available in Canada through Hasson and Wong and I am ready to go get my script filled out Saturday. Has anyone used any form of topical finasteride? How has it been hair wise and sides wise? I'm kind of excited to give this a shot but don't wanna get excited for nothing. From what I read it isn't amazing for regrowth but maintenance is def a possibility, at nw2-3 diffuse, definately more like nw3 I'd be more than happy to keep what I have. Thanks and I'd love to hear your experiences

I always thought of topical Finasteride as a bit of a strange treatment. Haven't used it, I don't think I ever will. Hope all goes well with that treatment g.i joey.

So I called has on and Wong before and we have to wait 4 to 6 weeks in order to have this product readily available to us. The girl who I spoke to put real emphasis on the fact thay this is strictly for maintenance and tbh I'm happy with that. Hope this helps us in our fight

I'm moving to the USA in six months, I'd hope to switch to that.

They say finasteride is for maintenance but in practice a lot of people have moderate gains.

Hey Dave hope this is exactly what we need to mediate the severity of sides. I think it could work, I really hope so man or else I'll be on and off finasteride till I'm 30 and I don't wanna take it orally tbh sex is so much better off finasteride

K9, do you notice any sides, even minimally? The lady told me this new formulation is made to greatly decrease the chance of sides

Yeah I've seen that study. Tbh i could take .25 MG finasteride with not even 1 side so even if thay much goes systemic with topical I should be good.

Also I've been on and off finasteride about 4 times and I always recover completely back to normal in 1 to 2 weeks

So if I take .05ml and half goes systemic I should be safe

How long does it take the sides to go away for you when stopping finasteride?

k9gattton you are growing back hair, but what makes you credit the finasteride and not the minoxidil or progesterone or whatever else you have in your magic soup?

2 weeks and I feel 100% sex drive and every other aspect of sides

Yes, it is. Particularly the Type II 5-AR enzyme is naturally found and produced at high amounts in the hair follicles, which itself unfortunately plays a huge role in balding.
