Topical Finasteride as good as oral?

I've heard talk of topical Finasteride working as well as oral but still going systematic, but not as bad as oral?
Is topical just as useful as oral and is topical easily attainable?
Any word on this topical finasteride that "locks into the scalp"?

I'm going to start finasteride either way, I just would like to know the best route.

i dont feel sides on topical finasteride, i get minor ones when i take .5 mg.

i honestly like my regimen right now, take .5mg orally 2-3 times a week and apply topical finasteride 4-5 days a week. no sides but i am shedding fk
