So what is your opinion on this?

Dr. Lee uses it in his Xandrox. I am using it and when I do...I don't use spironolactone.

So any thoughts on this guys? Do you believe in it?

Thanks for any input.

ps. What was the final verdict about topical finasteride? Does it work because it gets absorbed into the bloodstream or because it just works topically like it's used for?

I dont think it does anything, used a minoxidil combo that contained it for a few months. Saw no results.

Usually I respond very quickly to hair loss treatments.

I don't think there is any convincing studies on this having any effect at all. Dr Lee seems to be the main proponent of it as he adds it to some of his minoxidil. I've certainly never seen someone on line report success with this chemicasl on its own.

There is no in vivo evidence in either humans or animals that azelaic acid works as a topical 5a-reductase inhibitor. Of course, that doesn't stop Dr. Lee from putting it in a bottle with some minoxidil, and selling it to anybody who'll fork over the cash. He laughs all the way to the bank.
