I reread the entire "big new gene-wide association study" recently but might have to do it again, to see how those specific genes interact with each other. If every or most of the genes on that list turn out to be detrimental to hair, and there is no one gene that dht affects that causes the rest of them to cascade, then dht might still remain the target. I going to keep reading about this. Where did you find this paper and how recent is it?

Only 5 to 10 years for an actual product assuming this finds anything significant that is actual usable information to indirectly treat male pattern baldness. He even says manipulating a gene to cure male pattern baldness is unrealistic at this point.
