Too much topical Finasteride

The place where I order my topical solution accidentally prescribed the incorrect topical does (0.25%), which is equal to 2.5 milligrams of solid Finasteride.

I have badly shaped head, and my woman has gone through menopause, so I don't get much pussy.

That said, if we ever divorce I might be able to afford a woman who wants a sugar daddy and will give me sex, so I need to keep my hair.

I've been using it daily because it's topical.

Do people here think it's safe? I am old, so it's not like my libido is in my prime.

Please advise.

In my experience, the topical version becomes systemic and is the same as the oral version. I had the same side effects with the topical version, even at very low doses. After a certain age, you become more prone to side effects because androgen levels naturally decrease, and finasteride doesn't help with that.

To be honest I'm noticing a lower libido in myself at my fifties. I think if I did strength training, I could probably get rid of it.

First thing, 0.25% isn't some wild overdose. It's one of the standard topical strengths, plenty of compounded formulas are made at exactly that. And because it's topical, only a fraction gets absorbed, so 0.25% on your scalp is nothing like swallowing a 2.5mg tablet. The amount reaching your bloodstream is far smaller than the number on the bottle, so there's no cause to panic about it being toxic.

That said, if it's not the strength you were prescribed, that's a dispensing error worth sorting. I'd go back to the place that made it, confirm what you were meant to be on, and let them tell you whether to keep using this batch or swap it, rather than just running with a dose that landed by mistake.

On the side effect worry, topical's lower absorption is the whole reason it tends to cause fewer systemic effects than the oral version, so daily use at this strength isn't something I'd lose sleep over. If you ever did notice anything off, that's your cue to stop and check in with them.
