yeah, well i was probably about 5'2 and now im 5'9. but ive always thought it was weird that i was losing so much hair and gaining so much body hair and literally the exact same time. i wasn't educated on hair loss and thought that my hormones were out of wack and that they would correct themselves as i got older and my hair loss would stop and maybe even grow back. that was before i learned about dht and that sh*t. and my entire family has good hair. i mean, my grandpas were bald but not until they were very old. i honestly still think theres something odd about my male pattern baldness. i shouldve got tests when i was younger but i avoided balding altogether and wore a hat constantly. in short, i think there is a connection between my body hair and lack of head hair.

I was 4'10" at age 13 and 5'9" at age 15. Talk about a growth spurt. But I'm not sure of the significance of it.

I was thinking about puberty, early and late onset puberty, and how this relates to testosterone and the dirty business of DHT.

Personally I'm a diffuse thinner who suffered (boy, did I suffer) a late onset puberty. My hair loss is not aggressive. The DHT in my body isn't doing its business with bodyhair but appears to be intermittently active in the scalp, like an inept attempt to make me bald, or an afterthought.

I haven't read any studies about the timescale of puberty and how it might relate to DHT production. Does anyone have any info in that direction?
