To Treat Or Not To Treat? Please advise.

Hi,

I have just taken some pictures of my hair and it is MUCH worse than I first thought. I am 29 and have been losing hair for about 9 years maybe. I had never really considered treatment before as I wasn't sure it could be that effective but see some people here have had success.

Can someone please look at my pictures and let me know if you think it is worth battling? I'd love to be able to grow my hair a bit longer as I have a large strange shaped head but if my hair is going to look ridiculous then its just not worth trying.

I uploaded some pics to an album on my profile. Hope this is the correct link:

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Its definitly worth giving treatments a try as long as you're willing to make the commitment. if i were you i would get on the big 3 as soon as possible then just try to forget about your hair for at least a year before judging the treatments. you seem to have alot of minaturized hairs, with a bit of luck these will thicken up and could make a big improvement.

good luck..

Definitely its worth a try. Whats the worse that can happen? It doesnt work and your lose your hair? If you dont try thats the inevitable anyway!

I was a bit freaked about using finasteride but once I started taking it it was perfectly fine. Barely noticed a thing in terms of side effects. As for results... well... Only on it just over a month and I think Im having some small ones already but Im awaiting the jurys decision on that.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

I have done hours of reading since I posted this and I think I am just going to try Nizoral and Rogaine Foam and see how it goes. I don't think I want to risk Finasteride.

I appreciate that the chances on Nizoral and Rogaine only are much less but I will give it a shot. I don't seem to be shedding as much as I have previously and I think there is also a nutritional impact to my hair loss as my diet is terrible. I'll try and improve that too.

Thanks again, I'll post back with any results.
