I have a receding hairline! I have done for a few years now, and am only 24 last week.

Now I dont know whether to shave my head, if I do it will make the receding hairline more noticeable, as I dont want to shave down to the scalp, however some people say this looks better?

Anyone got any style tips for when you have a receding hairline? My hair on top is fine

I dont have pics but its quite bad. Its fine all down the middle, and thick, but at either side theres nothing there for about an inch!

dude best thing you can do is shave it and go on treatments. less worry which worry leads to hair loss.

Im shaving mine after the shedding stops im on the 7th month with heaps of shed and hair loss.

My hairline in the temple area has been receding for some years now. I always cut my hair low, since the receding temples go unnoticed (except by barbers). But remember that, if you are successful with your regime to fight the hair loss, you won't have to cut your hair low to have it unnoticed. But you know, some folks have different hair. So what worked for me, may or may not work for you.

Buzzcuts are tempting when things get tough but remember that your remaining hair does act as a slight concealer, if you're anything like me then the top will have a different density to the sides therefore highlight the balding pattern.. it's a fine line, you need to try find the 'perfect length' for you personally.

If you are going to buzz your hair, why bother trying to regrow hair. I think they are mutually exclusive moves.

Not at all, the hairline is still clearly visible unless you razor your head, in fact it's more visible. Besides.. I'm sure that lots of the people on treatment with a buzz cut like to think that they will grow it back one day if they respond well enough.

I say don't shave it and enjoy your hair while you can. Just keep your hair short overall and comb it forward but keep it stylish.
I look alright with a buzzed head but also don't want to be known as "that guy with the shaved head" if you know what I mean.
