I have been on rogaine for 8 months now and have crazy good results i got my loss early so i regrow most if not all of it, I am led to believe that I need to add finasteride or these gains will be lost in a few years, i had a significant shed on rogaine which caused alot of stress and im not sure if i can go through that again, i am just wondering what are the odds that finasteride will cause a significant shed and cause my loss to be noticeable again please respond if you have a moment

No one can tell you if finasteride will cause a new shed. It’s certainly possible, though. It’s a trail by fire that’s the only way of knowing. And although everyone will parrot that you’ll lose your romaine gains without finasteride, no one can say how or to what degree that is certain, either. For some people rogaine works for 2 months, while others claim years. It’s a precarious business, this hair loss stuff.

Even by adding in finasteride that does not guarantee you will keep your minoxidil gains. finasteride hair is finasteride hair and minoxidil hair is minoxidil hair. By adding in finasteride you have a good chance of preventing further hair loss (the hair you had before minoxidil). It may also lengthen the time span of which you can keep the minoxidil gains.

I took finasteride for a little while but cut it out because of sides. Sorry man, but no one can give you any anecdotal report that is going to mean a thing for you when/if you take it. If you read into what people say that you won't shed, and then do, you'll just be pissed--and vice versa.

Yeah I know Bro thanks though, I'm just going travelling in the summer and want my hair to look good I'm not sure what to do most experts say there shouldn't be a shed but going by this sight it's common and I'm wondering will rogaine be enough for me until I start finasteride bearing in mind I'm only 8 months and and it'll still be improving until 12 months
