Throwing the kitchen sink at it - opinions on regime

Hi All -

would just like some opinions please as in my desperate state I've spent up big and pretty much bought every hair loss product out there.
Tried plenty, never stuck to anything properly and this time around I want to give it everything and not stop until I'm happy with the results, broke or bald as a badger......

Obviously ALL products at once would likely be worse for my hair than better so could those in the know help me out in coming up with a manageable and maintainable routine i.e. what I can drop out and what I should keep.

What do I have in the massive hair product basket (yep literally have a basket of hair crap)
- 15 remaining proscar tablets (had bad sides but it did stop my hair falling out... am willing to try again and have DIM, flax lignan tabs, zinc, tumeric powder, lysine, cod liver oil tabs, flaxseed oil liquid, msm and arginine on hand to combat sides)
- dutasteride Generic - got a box of this, scared of it though and was thinking of only adding it as topical in minoxidil
- Got 2 bottles of 15% Xandrox
- 2 bottles of 5% minoxidil without PPG
- 2 and a bit remaining bottles of Revivogen
- 1 full bottle of tricomin
- 1 laser comb
- Proxiphen (prescribed version) 4 month supply
- Tricomin shampoo
- Nanoo shampoo
- 3 bottles of Nizoril (2 x 1% and 1x 2%).

Opinions really welcomed

Thanks a heap in advance for any help.....

if finasteride gave you trouble, stay away, those supplements you mentioned might help

i think you should use dutasteride a few times a week say MWF and see how things go.

I agree with Goingat20, except for one thing.

I think you should start off using dutasteride every day, 0.5 mg per day. If you get sides, and only IF you get sides, then I would try cutting back to 3x a week if the sides don't go away after a couple of months. dutasteride will give you better regrowth and maintenance protection if used every day compared to only 3x a week.

Cheers for the opinions guys -

so I can lose the revivogen and the proscar....good. I kind of think that I'll drop the tricomin once it runs out as well becuase I'd like to reduce my monthly bill just a bit....

If I do get sides from the dutasteride do the supplements I have on hand help out at all?

thanks again gents

i don't think any of the supps will help stop hair loss.

i'm taking supplements in conjunction with my dutasteride that some people on here think will help stop hair loss from all the angles. i take all my supplements orally. just hover your mouse over my regimen and take a look at my regimen. it's a good one with minimal hassle- no topicals- just shampoos and pills. you might want to mimic it.

Thanks Jayman -

I think you misinterpreted my question slightly.....poor wording on my behalf.

What I meant was if dutasteride is causing side effects can the side effects be minimised by taking any additional supplements?

cheers

Ah, I understand now. Yes I hear Arginine is good for increasing libido and erections.

If that doesn't work and you do get sides, which you may very well not, but if you do, you could look into v**** or Cialis. Some insurance companies cover them and they don't have to know that dutasteride is the reason that you are having sexual problems.

just supposedly increased occurrence of the same sides you can get from finasteride: gynecomastia(growing breasts), limp, lower libido. Very rare for each.

WIth gynecomastia you can tell it's coming and if your breast feels hard and sore you might be getting it. It doesn't just creep up on you.

yohimbe and other herbs work just as good if not better and dont have the side effects that cialis and v**** have

v**** is not something he should take consistently
