For those with a very sensitive scalp to minoxidil as I do...here is the best total combo I have found.

First off...avoid liquid off the shelf minoxidil of every kind. It takes very long to dry and is way too harsh. The rogaine brand is no better than the generic liquid kind from any other store.

A combo like this might be best for you.

Rogaine foam - This is a fast drying formula that is a lot like shaving cream. Unfortunately it smells like cheap flower cologne and makes your hair look bad. So far the best place I have found is amazon to order it.

Dr Lees item #500. This is a specialty liquid that is very fast drying as well. However, since it has so much alcohol it might over time make your scalp itch a bit. That's why I rotate in rogaine foam because it evens everything out. You can only get it at minoxidil.com. I wish we had a comparable formula somewhere else to have more options but we simply don't at this time.

Just don't use nizoral . Its not worth it if you have a sensitive scalp. Way too drying and anything that hurts the scalp isn't worth it.

Shampoo - I love tea tree shampoo/conditioner. Its very cheap and feels awesome. I use Nature's Gate from a health food store but I am sure many other brands are just as good.

Hope that helps...

I find that Nizoral makes my hair, although look dry, look thicker and tea tree shampoo makes my hair look dry but not as thick, especially the Avalon Organics one.
