Not much in the papers this week, but there are some good T/Gel deals...

WALGREENS:
$4.49 Neutrogena T/Gel (great price!.. to get this price, you need to use an "in store coupon" that you can find in the circular at the entrance to the store.
$7.99 Centrum Vitamins
2 cans of sprayable Silly String for $5.00

SAVON:
Equaline (generic) T/Gel, 2 for $5.00 (Outstanding deal, practically a rip off, if you don't mind using a generic)

No luck, Radio.

When I do my "weekly specials" post, I am getting the info out of the Sunday paper over here, which always has advert sheets from all the chain stores, and I post some of the pertinent items that I observe. I went over to the local news stand to find a British paper, and all they had were the "Times", or, maybe it was the "Telegraph"?... and the good ol' pink FT. Neither of them had ads. I doubt they would be inserted in foreign versions, anyways.

There was a Guardian on sale as well, but I didn't touch it because reading the Guardian causes hairloss.

Oh my... why Britons would ever shell out money like that for Budweiser and Miller Genuine Draft is beyond me. Do you guys really drink American lager over there? And if so, why?

I can understand drinking it in the summer months when a piss thin Lager is refreshing when served iced cold on a hot day... but besides that, why? It's understandible in a hot climate like most of North America, but in Britain there is simply no excuse for drinking Bud.

The only reason we drink it over here is because it is cheap, which makes for a fine choice when you are planning on drinking over an extended period of time, and want to make your money last.

Nice one for not buying the Guardian!

Becks is one of my faves too, most lager sold in the UK is brewed in the UK but Becks is exported from Germany.

I enjoy a good Pale Ale with Sunday sports, Sierra Nevada (Northern Cal) is good, so is Sam Adams. For outdoor events, picnics, etc, I prefer a lager and prefer the Latin beers, Tecate (Mexico) is great with lime and salt, and nothing beats an iced cold Brahma (Brazil), or Dos Equis Special Lager (Mexico) while on the beach (sipping it discreetly out of a thermos, of course). Hot weather is also good for Hefeweisen. When I have some extra cash and want a great beer to savor, it's either Fat Tire (Colorado), the British Sam Smith Brown Nut Ale and India Pale Ale, or Cali's SLO Brew.

Gunner?.. you are now in California??

How did you get in? I heard that they don't let people into the states who lie on the "what is your Norwood?" question on the entrance form.
