Hello everyone, I'm 23!
I state that I have already talked to several dermatologists and nobody advised me about Finasterid or Minoxidil! but vitamins and lotions making me lose years and my hair kept falling!
I used propecia for 6-7 months but now I'm a little scared because I have a little testicular pain and my pharmacist told me that at my age would have avoided and so I did, two different doctors told me that there is no problem and that any unwanted effects are reversible once you stop to use it .. so having the pains prefer to detach a month and more to see if it was propecia (finasterid) to give me this pain! Also the price was high, my doctor talking to my mother absolutely not recommended to take such proscar and cut into 4 (which would be 1.25mg per head and not 1mg) ... anyway, maybe I was not particularly constant to use it since I not noticed results, and I thought to only damage!
I proposed myself minoxidil dermatologist and expert cosmetic surgeon in transplants and hair care and they said does me good, 2 times a day and nothing else! I bought MINOXIMEN today.

so given the age, the lose hair for about five years, the area with increased hair loss and where there is greater visibility is the central area (the vortex / Summit) and begins to be seen also on the tempie..I see microhairs( :p )
What do you recommend?
Another note, the pharmacist told me not to start minoxidil summer and it should be discontinued during the summer ... online reading some say should never be interrupted and others to reduce to a single lotion in the evening and avoid the morning and others to break in the summer months (but already two months are too many what I am understanding) what do you advise?
what should I do?
minoxidil must be applied to dry skin, so I read from the sheet of instructions, but that effect leaves on the head? you notice something? you see something? smears, dries quickly?
here are some photos (I have the central ridge, maybe you do not understand and misunderstand but I think it is evident from: P) of my situation:

Definitely start on ketoconazole 2% three times a week.

Don't stop using minoxidil. I don't know where this summer break stuff came from, I've never heard of it. If you stop during the summer you will be right back at square one when you start again.

Usually sides on finasteride are transient, if the doctors said you are fine, I would keep taking it. I assume you are taking 1mg every day. You can cut that back to every other day, or .5mg per day, it will be almost as effective, but maybe you won't get side effects. Check out Finpecia, it is the same thing as Propecia, but it will save you a lot of money.

Don't hesitate, because the longer you wait the less likely you are to get regrowth. Generally anything you've lost over five years before starting treatment is considered to be gone forever. On the hairline you have even less time.

Is there a reason you're not using ketoconazole 2%?

thank you!
in Italian forums I never heard about this ketoconazole 2%, I read that it is useful like a shampoo.
I don't understand if taking minoxidil without using Finasterid is useful but what I understand what I've read in other forums the answer is no.
as regards ketoconazole, I should take the shampoo? how many times a week?
I come from southern Italy and here the summer there is lots of sun and sea and some dermatologists recommend applying one night instead of two 2ml applicazionig iornaliere 1ml.

thank you for answers!
I will start this evening Minoxidil 5%

Keto helps reduce DHT to a much lesser degree than Finasteride, and it also combats inflammation and scalp irritation, but if it's used daily it can actually cause more harm than good. Every other day is generally recommended. You leave it in for five minutes and then rinse it out.

Minoxidil, like anything will give better results in combination with finasteride, but it is still quite powerful at regrowing hair by itself. After all, it was approved to treat hair loss about 5 years before finasteride.

Don't worry about that. There's no harm from using minoxidil in the sun and heat. You don't have to use it twice a day, but you will get better results that way. Most of it will be absorbed in the first hour after applying it, and it will be completely absorbed in four hours. If you apply it when your scalp is wet, you will just get more penetration.
