So few weeks ago I came across this video:
. It's a Propecia Q&A type of video, and out of curiosity, I asked she in comment section if all her patients who are good responder maintained their hair, and she said yes. So for all those good responders out their, seems like you guys can just take a pill every day and forget about it :)

Thanks for linking but man... does she need to eat, looks like she is losing her hair herself (haven't checked her other videos) and I wild guess is that her malnourishment helped out with that. She looks 20 years older than what she probably is.

Her reply seems fishy.. my dermatologist told me he has only had a few people on propecia maintain, the rest continued to lose. He even acknowledged someone else besides me complained about how it made them worse off when i brought it up at 6 month catch up. I wouldnt be surprised if merck is sponsoring this video.

LOL... Literally, why should Merck, one of the wealthiest pharmaceutical enterprises of the world, the one that has created not just one but three of the best selling drugs in the world such as Finasteride, v**** and Singulair, spend a little portion of the thousands of millions of dolars they make each year to buy the opinion of a dermatologist that only has 3,3K substribers... Reaaaally!?
A little common sense please.

I've had two different derms tell me most of their patients maintain. The studies all show most people maintain as well. And these were done around the world at many different institutions over a period of 20 years. It's hard to believe there's some giant conspiracy between different world governments and academic institutions...

I never said they were sponsoring it... i said i wouldn't be surprised if they were. If the success rate is really 83% then i dont understand how my derm ( who is his 50s ) who has been a derm for decades and even tried finasteride himself said this. Something isn't adding up.

Maybe im just being salty because finasteride worked in reverse for me. It is quite ridiculous to consider.

:( not directed at you, I just know a ton of lurkers read these threads and there's plenty of controversy swirling around finasteride all the time. I think there's pretty ample evidence that finasteride usually works, but it definitely isn't 100%
