Finasteride seems to have made my hair "transparent" at the front as my whole frontal scalp is now showing in any decent lighting (doesn't need flash or anything, just proper light). Before I started finasteride 9 months ago, I had some thinning on the crown and receding temples but not any considerable loss at the front. It's drastically worse than the baseline. (sorry, no pics, but it did happen)
I never experienced any major shedding, though. I'm losing maybe 20 hairs in the shower - nothing too exceptional. I rarely have more than 5 hairs on my pillow. I think I'm losing less than 100 in a day in total, so that should be normal. Now my question is: is it possible to thin out without shedding? Can my hair just get thinner and thinner but not fall out to the point that my frontal area is completely "transparent"?
I haven't seen regrowth. I'm about to continue for the next 3 months and stop if nothing has improved. Thoughts?
