Thinning On Crown Or Hair Whorl? 25m

Hi Everyone - Lately when I have been combing my hair as part of my morning routine, I’ve noticed some hair in the sink (not large amounts, but definitely enough to make me notice). Anyway, I’ve already accepted the fact that my forehead is receding (currently about a Norwood 2.5-3). Do you think my crown is beginning to thin, or does this look more like a hair whorl?

Thanks in advance! Dad and brother are completely bald on top, so wondering if this is where I’m headed sooner or later, too.

Have you tried adding dermarolling? Or the last resort, minoxidil. I say last resort because min has a long term commitment and you need to stick with it forever.

Hey man! I remember you from your old thread. Has your hair started thickening up since you started? Have you noticed any improvements?

Have you tried adding dermarolling? Or the last resort, minoxidil. I say last resort because min has a long term commitment and you need to stick with it forever.

I haven’t tried any of them yet! And I agree with you about callin it “ the last resort “ as I’m not ready yet! Even if quit fina , I won’t be using minoxidil soon .. I’m getting side effects from fina , so I’ll have my T checked soon before i make any decision. Or might lower the dose from 1mg/daily to 1mg every other day! And see what happens! What do you think? My hair line is intact but the crown area and the scalp in general is focked up!

I literally don’t know yet! I take pics almost on a daily basis or every other day .. here are some recent pics .. then I’ll show u older ones. But the hair loss is less now , but i still shed the thinning hairs more! Like very dead ones! but i have tons of oily dandruff all over my scalp and i use nizoral but maybe once a week or every 2 weeks! I know this is little but i use some other caffeine shampoos

Since you're getting sides, I would go for every other day at 1mg. According to the doctors in the Hairloss Show YT Channel, majority people don't get sides with that routine.

You could let finasteride out of the system first and then begin the new routine.

Yea, hold out minoxidil for now, the shed phase may make your situation worse. It is always good to remain optimistic for the time being. You got this man
