Thinning Hair

Hi, I have been reading loads of your stories but no one seems to have the same symptoms as me. My hair has thinned gradually over the past 18 months but, although I am worried about it, on one else seems to have noticed. I know that I have lost a lot of the volume of my hair but when I wash it I never see any hairs lying in the bath and I don't have any bald patches. I have been to see my GP but she was totally unhelpful. I know I have a problem because when I put my hair in a ponytail there is hardly any there, whereas I used to have a thick ponytail. Also, my individual hairs are really fine. I am taking Nourikin tablets at the moment. If any one else :roll: has the same problem as me I would love to hear from you

What do you mean your doctor was unhelpful?
When I saw my GP he had my thyroid and iron checked right off the bat.
When those tests showed up fine, he sent me to a specialist.

Honestly, if your Doctor hasn't suggested any testing--you should try a different doctor.

I live in the Philly area. I am going to see a Trichologist in New York. Has anyone seen a dr near Philly who they are truly happy with. I am a woman of fifty.
