Thinning Crown/Temple at 23, Treatment Advice/Opinions?

Hello,

I have always had thin hair but I noticed my hair density becoming thinner when I reached ~20 (I am now midway 23). I attributed it to a bad diet, not drinking enough water etc... I thought it would remedy itself but it hasn't. I recently took a picture of the top of my head and was shocked at what I saw had happened to my crown area. I had no idea my crown had lost so much density as that area was not visible when looking in the mirror. My left side is more affected then my right as you can see from the pictures.

I am new to this whole topic of hair loss and would gladly welcome your opinions and advice. Is this male pattern baldness and what type? Would finasteride and Rogaine help regrow my hair and so help with the density? Also I recently had a full vitamin/mineral bloodwork done and everything was good except for my Vit D level. I have a Vitamin D Deficiency which I am taking supplements for, I don't know if that even makes a difference.

Thanks

Not only is the crown, and every where else thinning but you also have retrograde alopecia on the sides.

Forget what you think is causing this, it's not a matter of nutrition, and environmental factors rather your genetics.

Hope on finasteride, min and nizoral.

Good news is it looks like you don't suffer any temple recession. 5th picture looks like thinning on your donor area.

First I suggest a blood work test just incase.

Go see a derm and get a script for finasteride (MOST IMPORTANT)
then minoxidil and nizoral

Thanks for the replies! My temples are not receding (yet) I don't think and even if they have, the amount is minute to notice. I had a haircut the day before the pics and had my sides cut with clipper size 4 so the hair is showing shorter then the rest, but yes the density especially on my left side is bad compared to the rest.

I will find and make an appointment with the best dermo in my area.

Also could this be DUPA?
