Thinning Crown Or Part In Hair Question?

one of my sides of my head has receded drastically in the last year, much sharper than the other. Just wanting to know based on this picture if thinning is happening in the crown too or if it's just my part (which I believe it is). Picture attached.

Also, has anyone had success with peppermint oil, tea tree oil, or castor oil + massage in terms of hair regrowth? I am a 24-year-old male with no history of balding in my family, and as I said before one side of my hair is receding sharply. The rest of my hair is extremely thick, though, the recession is only on the side.

Also, any success using a dermaroller?
