Hey guys, sorry for the amount of posts lately, but over the last few days my hair is feeling quite thin all over. Could this be pyschological? Surely Finasteride can't shrink my current hair strands? And if so, this can't be good? I currently take 1mg daily and have done for just over 2 weeks. I know its a min 3-6 months before I see a difference, but my hair is definitely feeling different. Dryer and I'm certain its thinner. Evem the hair im shedding look slimmer.

Anyone else experience this or any suggestions? Thanks

I've lost the link now, but theres a thread on here from a few years ago of a guy who experienced shedding and thinning from 3 weeks in. He stuck at it for the 6 months but never mentioned of improvement or even halting. Didn't see any comments from others saying about improving. I literally don't know what to do. My hair is so brittle and feeling very thin.

Here's someone who was freaking out initially, stuck it out, came back, and had great results.

Hmm I think my hair is in a similar state to what his was at 6 months. It would be interesting to see what his hair is like when wet, or a shot from above. But it certainly does look pretty thick in that latest picture. And the fact he never posted over 3 years may suggest that he's happy with his results, so it gives me hope.

My hair is pretty long atm, I'm hoping to get it cut a little shorter on the weekend. My hair always got to a length where I struggled to style it and always seemed thin so I'm hoping that is also contributing to my worries. I guess that without Finasteride I'm going lose my hair anyway so I may as well keep going, I don't seem to be having any sides apart from the shed.

If anyone else has any positive results to help, Id be very grateful!

Just to be clear he stopped posting for 3 years and then came back last month to post. He has been online as recent as 2 hours ago so if you want you can PM him.

Anyway finasteride is not an over-night fix, it usually takes 6 months to see real results and for some people it can take up to a year and a half or more.

I appreciate that its not an overnight fix, but surely having a lower quality of hair than before isnt good?
