Thinking of starting Propecia. I'm getting ancillaries to control sides

Hey guys

I'm 22 and just recently noticed my hairline has receded a bit and is thinning quite a bit.

I have been on Nizoral 2% for a while and I just bought some Minoxidil

Anyway I never really noticed any shedding until I did a 5 week Prohormone cycle then it really hit me. My family has a strong pattern of aggressive male pattern baldness, with the exception of a few cousins.

I want to be proacive about this so here is my plan

Finasteride 0.25mg to start of with and progress to 0.5mg
Nizoral 2-3 days week
Rogaine 2x day

To counteract sides I have

Clomid - SERM used by bodybuilders which increases function of the testes and is know to increase load size

Pramipexole - Dopamine agonist that improves Dopamine:prolactin ratio. Therefore higher sexual desire, improved orgasms, erection quality

Aromasin - AI used to prevent estrogen build up which is a know side of finasteride. Should prevent gyno

Cialis - I use this for circulation issues I have in my hands and feet (Raynaud's syndrome), but it also has obvius benefits onerection quality

What do you guys think?

I would rather be proactive against sides then wait until I'm stuck in a whole

sounds like you're assuming you'll get sides, which isn't really a great attitude to take when starting finasteride, but I understand 'hope for the best, prepare for the worst'

I have no idea if any of those things will help counter sides, but bear in mind taking these other substances could have unforeseen knock-on consequences, ie. they could have their own side effects. Sounds a bit like you're turning yourself into a guinea pig.

definitely consult with a qualified doctor before starting that regimen.

I'm not going to start running everything as of right away. My plan is to start low dose finasteride and see how I respond.

I personally believe that the majority of sides from finasteride could be controlled except the SOME people just get scared like a dear and head lights and blame everything on finasteride.

I understand DHT has a vital role in the body but other hormones indirectly effected by finasteride must also be addressed when combatting sides.

Sexual functioning, muscle mass and strength. Is that wrong? Indirectly I guess also it's antagonistic relationship with estrogen is useful

Doesn't DHT play a role in sexual desire, erections etc? I could have sworn I have read that 100 times over

DHT is essential in young and developing males, but is thought not to have any important role in adults (except destroying our hair). Obviously this is debated, but I believe that's the current scientific wisdom.

If it was as vital a hormone as say, testosterone, no way would Finasteride have been approved as a hairloss treatment. Supressing DHT does seem to have a negative effect on some men, but they're in the minority, because most men who take finasteride don't experience bad sides

I hope you're right. There is so much hate on the wed for finasteride. Absolute fear everywhere

Are you on finasteride QC?

Dosage? Experience?
