thinking of lowering my dosage

ive been on Propecia 1mg daily and minoxidil daily for like 3.5 months so far but im not sure if i can handle what its doen to my sex drive

things are still in order physically but its just like im not half as interested in getting laid anymore which is frankly unacceptable - watching p**rn is like playing video games these days

so yeah... ive had really impressive regrowth so far but im thinking of lowering the propecia to 0.5mg daily. does anyone have any advise or suggestions to this action?

also... the propecia i have it has days labelled on the packet - a different day for each pill and it goes round in a cycle - will it matter if i mix up the order?

how about you take 1 mg finasteride every 48 hours. i know exactly what you're going through. got the libido loss within the second pill i took. just not interested anymore. i've reduced mine to 1mg every 2 days...so far..no change..well maybe slight but i guess it might be in my head. i complete a month in 4 days and this side still hasnt gone away.

how long have you had this libido side?

krush made a good point.

it shouldn't hurt to reduce your dose - but go w/ the 1 mg every other day instead of the .5 mg daily.

(you might want to take 2 weeks off totally first to jump start your libido, and then begin again on a reduced dosage).

If it's truly nothing more than propecia (1 mg finasteride tabs) - then No, it shouldn't matter what day you take them

update: its been a few days off finasteride but i still feel like my nuts got chopped off... its like im not even looking at women as sexual objects anymore

As I recall - it took a minimum of 2 weeks, maybe slightly longer, for my system to feel back to normal after getting off finasteride. It does stay w/ you for awhile. Fear not - you'll be back to your normal self soon.

In the meantime - maybe crank up your supplements intake which may help you at least feel like you're getting back to normal (B-Complex, E, L-arginine, maybe some ginseng tabs . . . .
