I think you have a good regimen. You can skip applications (but try to avoid it). It's very necessary that you apply the treatment as instructed consistently. If you forget to apply it, there is nothing you can do about that though. But its not an issue as long as its rare.

spironolactone cream, you should use 2 times a day, like Rogaine foam. But apply spironolactone cream after 30 mins after using the Rogain Foam. That helps to make sure that your scalp/hair is dry. As spironolactone when it interacts with minoxidil, it makes a funny smell. You dont have to wait 30 mins or so like I do though. You can apply it after 10 mins from the time you used Rogaine foam, or 15 mins.

I have no idea about Tricomin though. Never used it before. Revivogen is a topical and together with spironolactone, that should be a very powerful DHT-inhibition regimen. Using Nizoral is good, so continue doing that. Its part of the Big 3 anyhow. And as far as minoxidil, get the Rogaine Foam. It's the most effective, easiest to apply and it dries in a matter of minutes!

.025 or proscar a day? If you cut proscar into 4ths you will get 1.25, is that what you meant?
Apart form that your regime seems good. I say go for the foam, easy to apply. Im on the big three so I dont really know much about revivogen or spironolactone cream. Could be a pain in the *** aplying all that stuff...

well taking a smaller amount a finasteride a day
im just weary about the long term effects of finasteride......it messes with your hormones you know....

so in ten years....who knows if you could be impotent, and other things

I know, the thought of that scares me too, but looking at trial results, it dosnt seem likely.

Not sure which you would need since I have never used Revivogen. I think one of the things that hindered me towards using it was the price. Only thing I know is that it's a safe product that supposedly helps to halt or at least reduce hair loss and even possibly regrow. And yes, I have a topical-only treatment (Rogaine Foam, spironolactone 5% Cream, and Nizoral 2%).

Revivogen might be a worthwhile addition to your regime, although I recommend you alternate it with Nizoral. It isn't too much of a pain, just apply leave on for a few minutes and rinse..although I find styling afterwards difficult. I've been using the two for a short while, nothing major to report as of yet.

If I get results half as good as these I'll be stoked; http://www.revivogen.com/pictures/

Regimen-wise, I went from just finasteride 1x day for a few years to now:

MSM 2x day
finasteride 1x day
nizoral 3x week
Various shampoos 1x day (Jason; L'Oreal Vive; American Crew)
Min Foam 2x day

So I have not added a ton of stuff if you think about it. I have to use shampoo regardless so I just added some that seem to be better for thinning folks.

If your hair is short, the foam is easy to style. When longer, you have to wait a bit to style. I tend to wait about 10 minutes, then style it a bit. If I am going out I will put my night-time foam on later that night so I don't have to mess with it if I lack time.

No, it's perfectly safe.

* Guys have been using finasteride since 1992;
* The drug has a short half-life - 5 or 6 hours - it's processed through your body very quickly;
* DHT levels return to normal a few days after ceasing use, and side effects should disappear as your DHT levels return to normal.[/list]

There seem to be two crowds on these types of forums: (1) the take finasteride or else all of your hair will fall off in the next 20 minutes and (2) the take finasteride and your penis will fall off crowds.

Both are a bit extreme. I don't see how sexual sides could persist long term - the drug leaves the body pretty quickly and the hormones return to normal.

As for your regimen, why not pick 1 dht inhibitor (spironolactone, revivogen, finasteride, dutasteride) and 1 growth stimulant (minoxidil, DNC, folligen, tricomin) and give them six months to a year? Evaluate afterwards and add as needed.

Your hairloss isn't severe; you won't be bald in six months even without treatment. The combo above gives you a very good chance of at least maintaining your hair and a pretty good show at regrowth. This way, you'll save you a bunch of money which you can use to enjoy an already pretty good head of hair and live your life instead of making sure you're near a bathroom so you can apply all those products.
