Thinking About Dropping Propecia And Rogaine

I am a 22 year old male and started taking both propecia (1mg) and rogaine 2 years ago. Over the past year I have been debating whether to continue to use these drugs as I have seen little to no improvement in my hair loss situation since starting both. When first starting the drugs my hairline was just receding at the temples (first signs I noticed of male pattern baldness). My temples have gone back much farther and over the past year I have been receding at the center of my hairline. I also am now thinning all over my scalp, but no bald spot specifically on the vertex. With longish hair though it is difficult to tell I am thinning too bad as my hair used to be so thick, except the hairline looks like crap. Do you think there is any reason to continue these treatments if they are having no effect from what I can tell? Propecia is pretty cheap and easy to use, but rogaine seems like a huge waste of money and time if it isn't having any effect. I am scared to stop now though because it is possible the drugs have been slightly slowing down loss but not halting it. What do you all think? Has anyone else experienced no results from finasteride or rogaine either and dropped them? What was the outcome? Do you think there is anything else I should add to my regimen?

Thanks.

Are you using Nizoral Shampoo Mon, Wed, and Fri? If not, add it, and reconvene again in 6 months.

I would not stop unless you experience side effects that are not bearable. A lot of people do this initial then panic, rebound and relapse back to the medication after they loose ground. Not realising it was working, but they are playing catch up and never attain the ground they lost.

Hey Admin, you think nizoral could give that extra push? I hate the way it makes my hair feel

Did you try Regenpure DR ever? I use that stuff and it is 10x better than the Lipogaine shampoo I had used until just a month ago. Regenpure is a lot better. Get a decent conditioner and youre set. Never tried Nizoral.

From the studies done on finasteride, they used keto shampoo in a group and if I remember correctly they had the best results by far.

The keto shampoo probably does more good than the finasteride. Inflammation is the key

DHT can be the trigger or accelerator. Reduce inflammation with keto shampoo and cutting out sugar / alchohol etc until something worthwhile comes out.

Take primrose oil, vitamin E and some omega 3 aswell

I had zero results on propecia up to a full year until I finally gave in and added Nizoral.

A conditioner can help with how your hair feels. Goal is to let it soak for a good while during the shower.

I used nizoral for like 6 months or so. Didn't notice it having any effect and it was irritating my scalp so I stopped. Could try re-adding it unless the scalp irritation comes back.
