Think of male pattern baldness like this

male pattern baldness is just like growing older

as we age, we gain wrinkles, flabbier skin, hairier bodies, lower libido, loss of physique, and loss of hair on our heads

male pattern baldness is unstoppable. Just like wrinkles. There are no cures for wrinkles, because they are genetic and pre-programmed to appear, just like our hair folicles are pre-programmed to disappear and die. We can't fix it, just like we can't fix wrinkles.

BUT

We CAN slow down the progress of wrinkles- with creams and facelift surgeory. BUT, again, this doesn't eliminate wrinkles, only makes them less visible, and only for a limited amount of time- because as we continue to age, more wrinkles appear, just like more hair disappears. Facelifts are short-term fixes.

We can slow down the progress of our hair loss, but it doesn't stop it, only slows it down. And in time, it's going to continue to advance and sooner or later it will reach its full capacity of loss.

So basically, what you've lost, you've lost forever- treatments can stop it where it's at, for a temporary fixed time- then it will get worse as you age a few years.

So don't get excited about your square hairlines returning, or reversing from a NW3 to a NW1, because it ain't happening. Sure, crazy things happen, but this is a situation we can't win against, not now anyway.

Delay is the name of the game, that's it.

you're a dick..if no one cared about losing their hair, everybody on this board including you wouldn't be here right now. we all care, because hairloss makes us all look like sh*t compared to what we look like with hair

Specific to male pattern baldness, the data and experience shows that your conclusion is erroneous. Many folks have in fact, regrown hair that appears to have been lost forever.

Other treatments can minimize or eliminate wrinkles too. Perhaps a bit more research may enlighten you.

And in the end, we all die. Not much new in that. The key (at least to me) is to give the ball a long ride if you can!

hey hopewas- of course i care!! i never said i didn't !!! that's why i'm here

anyhow i'm not a dick, you take it that way

in the grand scheme of things, hairloss is hairloss and chances are you're gonna lose it for good

planes crash, meteors hit earth, people live until 120... weird things DO happen though, just like people regrowing their hair

Nice try Bob but the data shows that regrowing hair is a lot more common than living to 120 or meteor crashes.

BOTOX BABY, I never plan on getting wrinkles and many people have already gotten rid of theirs. Bad analogy. :p

Nice to see your post went down like the titanic Boob booley.

Great motivation you are!

"male pattern baldness is like growing older"

Not for this 23 year old it won't be.

I'm not ready to become a granddad yet, thank you!

How old are you? 30+? Then give up on treatments and concentrate on giving to your family.

Maybe if you stopped spending money on hairloss treatments, then you can spend it on your kids/girlfriend/wife instead. Become less selfish.

1)I have regrown hair which has not been on my head for 5years.

2)My hairloss started to be visible at my age 20 or 21. I had to shave my head and some people called me skinhead. Terrible. Now at age 27 I have found cure for reasonable price for me and I find nothing unnormal on droping few drops of minoxidil and eating pill of finasteride every day.

I am narcist and I want to improve my look as much as possible. Girls and people that do not know my age estimate me that I am 19 years old with new hair now.

Maybe I am stupid but I think that bald head discriminates me in having girls. So I do as much as possible not to be bald.

3)I think that balding is not depended on age as much as wrinkles. Wrinkles will get everybody. Lot of people keep their hair till high age.

Peace.

Also who's to say that science won't cure wrinkles, flabbier skin or loss of physique either. The future holds alot of improvements for human biology.OK so we might still drop dead at 80 even though we look healthy, so that's vain(so what) it's the quality of life I'm after.

Good luck Jack
