I don't know if it's the length of the 6-inch hair, coupled w the fact that the cap is 8x10, larger than what I wear.

The hair hasn't been yet but it can't even rs
o
a foam head because it's so heavy.

Also, I'm concerned over the density of 100 percent. It looks thinner than my other pieces but maybe that's owing to the long length ?

Really don't know if I should attach and style this piece or return.

The color of the thin skin is also a bit odd at the hairline , where it's shiny.

Based on your link in other post, it's a .4 mil thinskin. Heavier than lace if that's your concern. Also doesn't sit well on styrofoam head as it is more slippery... as for transparency, it is more opaque that translucent. Yes you need to cut the excess. As it is a V loop unit, do not brush or comb hair when wet as the hair will pull out easily off the polyurethane. Only brush when dry. If exposed hairline, use glue at front as tape adds an extra thickness on the .4mil base and will show....
Hope this helps

I thought the full poly pieces were lighter than lace. Oh well.

After washing the piece, I can see its density is satisfactory.

Before the cut in, I'm very impressed by the way the toupee clings into my scalp before adhesive.

Is it normal for the thin skin to look shiny or is that indication for a bad wig?

The this like about this hairpiece is that arrived w an excess of Poly in the front.

Note sure if I'd even cut it as it makes for a most natural hairline w the the slight, and i mean slight, level discrepancy between the color of my scalp and the color of my forehead

Without even an attachment or haircut I feel this thin skin is more agreeable to me than lace

@AxC123 Everything you say rings true.

I'm concerned, of course, over the matter of hairs being pulled out while brushing when the unit's wet.

Sounds like a very shitty problem. How am I supposed to get a haircut, tell the woman to cut dry?

There is that option or ask her to use a spray bottle and spray hair, not base or roots
