I am nearly 21 years old. Just started to do something about my thinning hair and receeding temples. So now I am doing something about it. If it is correct that male pattern baldness is heridatory through the mothers side of the family, then I will have male pattern baldness.

I am from the UK and have just ordered Regaine 5% minoxidil and that should be here on Tuesday. Just want to know if any body else has any advice to help me. I will be very grateful and I am dedicated to beating male pattern baldness.

Look forward to advice and information.

Cheers guys!

Ooops!

Should be fine now,

Appreciate any advice. Mainly worried about the frontal recession which is where i think minoxidil will be useful. Will prob get some propecia to help out with the crown issue.

It seems your temples have started to recede and crown seems to be fine....I think you should consider starting Finasteride, along with rogaine.

If you worry about sides from finasteride, start with 0.5mg.

btw congrats on starting fight against hairloss.

My hair is really thin and has always been quite thin so it makes the problem worse with the crown area. Will finasteride/minoxidil make the hair look thicker aswell ??

Thanks for your help GSK
