Thin hair root, thick body, what does it mean ?

I have noticed that all the hair that I am loosing has a thin root with a white bulb, but the body up till the tip is strong and thick. What does this mean?

that is normal ...when hair is heading to dormant phases, before halting growth completely, it grows thinner i think.

After two or three months, this dormant hair falls out and its follicles begin growing new hair as other follicles begin a dormant phase
